The New Braunfels City Council met in Executive Session on Monday, January 12, 2026, at City Hall in Council Chambers. Mayor Neal Linnartz called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM. A quorum was present with Councilmembers D. Lee Edwards, Lawrence Spradley, April Ryan, Michael Capizzi, Toni Carter, and Mary Ann Labowski in attendance. The council adjourned into closed session at 5:02 PM to deliberate on legally permissible topics under the Texas Open Meetings Act.
Okay. Good evening. We're gonna call this Monday, January 12th, 2026 executive session meeting of the City Council of New Bromfels to order. Mrs. Wilkinson, will you please call roll? Councilmember Carter. Here. Councilmember Capizi. Here. Councilmember Edwards. Here. Mayor Pro Tim Sbradley. Here. Councilmember Lebowski. Here. Councilmember Ryan. Here. And Mayor Leonards. Here. We have a quorum. In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.071. The City Council Council may convene in a closed session to discuss any of the items listed below. Any final action or vote on any executive session item will be taken in open session. However, tonight we do not anticipate having to take action on any items. And if there is no action to take, we will adjourn directly from closed session. Tonight we plan to deliberate issues regarding economic development negotiations in accordance with section 551.087 of Texas Government Code regarding Project Maiden and to deliberate pending contemplated litigation settlement offers and matters concerning privileged and unprivileged client information deemed confidential by Rule 1.05 of Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct in accordance with section 551.071 of Texas Government Code specifically regarding cause number 2014 0522A YC Partners Limited DBA Yontes Company versus City of New Bromfels versus Half Associates Inc. It is 502 and we'll be leaving open session going into closed session 502 Monday January 12th, 2026.
