This was an executive session of the New Braunfels City Council held on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 5:55 p.m. The council convened in closed session to discuss economic development negotiations and pending litigation. No votes or actions were taken, and the council adjourned without reconvening into open session.
Attendance: Six members present (Councilmembers Edwards, Spradley, Ryan, Capizzi, Mayor Linnartz, and Labowski). Councilmember Carter was absent.
Good evening. We're going to call this Monday, March 9th, 2026, executive session to order. Mrs. Baker, will you please please call roll? Councilmember Carter is not present. Councilmember Capizi? Here. Councilmember Edwards. Mayor Protam Sbradley? Here. Councilmember Labrowski? Here. Councilmember Ryan? Here. And Mayor Leonards. Here we have a quorum. In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.071. The City Council may convene in a closed session to discuss any of the items listed on this agenda. Any final action or vote on any executive session item will be taken in open session. We do not anticipate taking any action tonight, and if there's no action to be taken, we will adjourn directly from closed session. However, if there's any action to be taken, we will come back into open session to take that action. Tonight we plan to deliberate issues regarding economic development negotiations in accordance with section 551.087 of Texas Government Code, specifically regarding Green 16 and Project Shoot. And we also plan to deliberate pending and contemplated litigation settlement offers in matters concerning privileged and unprivileged client information deemed confidential by Rule 1.05 of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct in accordance with section 551 dot 071 of Texas Government Code specifically regarding Landa RV Resort. It is 502 PM on Monday, March 9th, leaving open session into closed session.
