The New Braunfels City Council met in executive session on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at City Hall Council Chambers, 550 Landa Street. Mayor Pro Tem Michael Capizzi called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m., five minutes after the scheduled 4:00 p.m. start. The council discussed legal and personnel matters permitted under the Texas Open Meetings Act, then adjourned without reconvening into open session or taking action.
Good evening. Time is 4.05. Uh, we'll call this executive session to order. Uh Ms. Natalie, please call roll. Councilmember Carter. Here. Mayor Pro Tim Kapisi. Here. Councilmember Edwards is not present. Councilmember Sradley? Here. Councilmember Lebowski? Here. Councilmember Shaw, I am here. And Mayor French is not present. We have a quorum. In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.071. The City Council may convene in a closed session to discuss any of the items listed below. Any final action or vote on any executive session item will be taken in open session. Item A, deliberate pending contemplated litigation, settlement offers in matters concerning privileged and unprivileged client information deemed confidential by Rule 1.05 of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct in accordance with Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code specifically. Item B deliberate the terms of employment of the interim city attorney pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.074 personnel matters. If necessary, we'll reconvene it to open session and take any action relating to the executive session as described above. Time is 4 06, leaving open session going into closed session.
