On July 16, 2026, the New York City Council Committee on Finance, chaired by Councilmember Linda Lee, convened at 10:00 AM in City Hall Committee Room to consider two pre-considered items: a resolution adjusting designations of organizations for expense budget funding, and a local law decreasing the city personal income tax credit related to unincorporated business taxes paid through partnerships. The committee voted on both items via roll call, with all members present except Oswald J. Feliz and Darlene Mealy.

I'd like to recognize my fellow committee members, Councilmembers Aldebell, Majority Leader Abreu, Councilmember Marte, Councilmember Morano, Councilmember Narcis, Councilmember Maloney, Deputy Speaker Williams, Councilmember Hudson, Councilmember Wong, and we also have Councilmember Gennaro online, I believe, as well as Councilmember Brooks Powers. Pre-considered transparency resolutions, uh, sponsored by me to approve the new designation and changes in the designation of certain organizations to receive funding in the expense budget, and one pre-considered resolution in relation to decreasing the credit against the city personal income tax on residents for such residences' share of city unincorporated business tax paid by partnerships in which such residents are partners or businesses of which such residents are proprietors.
