Um, and welcome to today's hearing, uh, hosted by the Committee on Sanitation and Solid Waste Management. The purpose of this hearing is to hold a vote on introduction 906A, sponsored by but um bum me. Um the committee previously heard this bill along with others included in the Scoop Act on a hearing on May 19th, 2026, where it received testimony from representatives of the Department of Sanitation and interested members of the public. Introduction number 906A would require DSNY upon receiving seven or more credible complaints of dog waste on the same city block within a seven-day period to dispatch employees within 14 days to evaluate the block and enforce as appropriate state and local prohibitions against animal waste and public spaces.
