Olympia Planning Commission Meeting January 26, 2026

Draft 2026-2027 Planning Commission Work Plan: Presented by Associate Planner Casey Schaufler. Topics included: minor code amendments, capital facilities plan review, subdivision code update (middle housing), sidewalk repair policy, commercial parking standards (state law driven), critical areas ordinance update, manufactured home communities preservation, sub-area neighborhood plans (Plum Street corridor), small commercial uses, urban forest management plan update, and a commission retreat. Commissioners discussed the need for a timeline of must-hit dates and deliverables. A subcommittee to develop future work plan topics for council consideration was proposed.
