Discussion included the Commission’s lack of a dedicated budget, limitations on accepting donations, and possible avenues for funding through partnerships or grants. - Election Nominations (Item 6B): The Commission discussed election procedures for Chair and Vice Chair positions for the upcoming year. After discussion, a motion to hold voting immediately was made by Commissioner Patrick, seconded by Commissioner Stedman, and passed unanimously. Nominations were then opened:
- Chair: Commissioner Cotter was nominated and elected unanimously.
- Vice Chair: Commissioner Bowman was nominated and elected unanimously.
- The Commission also agreed to skip the March 2026 meeting, with a motion made by Commissioner Shepard, seconded by Commissioner Bowman, passing unanimously.

Okay, public comments. Do you not believe we have any public here to comments? Announcements. I don't think that I have anyone else questioning. Anyone else have any notes? Okay. All right, Chris. We're just cruising through the agenda today. Business items, first order of business, housekeeping. Okay. So as far as housekeeping goes, um, I'm trying to scroll to my digital version. We are going to be looking at the CLG requirements, the new commission of recruitment, just an update, um, and the annual calendar and progress. Um the sheet that we had written out at the retreat. I actually do have it at my desk if you want to see it, but there's just a lot of notes that I wanted to make sure we could follow up on to see if we're at the same like intention. Um let me share. Okay. So what we have is um we're in February on our paper copy, we'd written do outreach. Oh we've written do outreach because I think that was with regards to recruiting. That no longer needed to happen, but I do think that some of the outreach would still be good for future um partnerships or programming. Um is that something that everyone agrees with? Do you still want to do your outreach? Um, Mark, at the retreat, you were sort of assigned builders as your category of um people that might be good to make contact with for context. The um discussion was sort of around we've got the open seats that are being filled, and um at this time there weren't that many applications, but by the time that the applications closed, they were plenty of applicants in the cool. So not necessarily um reason for the I think architects and design firms, real estate or builders. Umless there's something that you think they could tie to. No, I guess it does bring up a question though, whether or not this is the appropriate month to do this in the future. We can also yeah, move it around. Um I think neighborhoods that sort of happening already built into the calendar. Um but yeah, I mean I guess I don't know, maybe it's more of a just an ongoing thing throughout the year. The intent of this was if we were in trouble, didn't have uh applicants that we do it, inserted every maybe it's fine. Anyone else have any thoughts on that? How many seats are actually open? Three three okay, and um so I know you outside like builders, for example, you need someone from real estate. Um real estate. In the future, I think so. Yeah, we just kind of brainstorm who out there in the community we think would be great to have represented on the commission. Some of the categories are possible. So I think that um, especially for things like the heritage review committee, like folks with technical expertise or um a field experience with like oh I know how to build this, and this is or isn't feasible to sort of weigh in on design recommendations and that kind of stuff. But again, yeah, that's all for next year, I guess. I suppose that we ever looked at having someone even like a better craftsman type spot, someone that's familiar with materials. Yeah, absolutely. That'd be cool. I just think there's a lot of like, I mean, you can find niche type stuff, you know, guys that do like custom one working weekend, right? Not necessarily uh like an installer or something like that. I guess I guess we do have a list uh from the window workshop resources for window specific. So I guess if when that outreach happens, I have some starting points for windows for outreach uh to builders. Um at this point I don't think it's a happening.
