So we have a package of beautification bills that were on last week. So we have already done the staff overview. We met offline with the uh county executive and their team to go over amendments. So uh we will relatively move fast on these packages of bills. We have CB 41 2026, an act concerning clean corridors and rapid response act of 2026 for the purpose of creating a clean corridors and rapid response program for expedite removal of a legal dumping and litter in designated areas, providing for the designation of clean corridors by council resolution and generally relating to the removal of debris and litter from sidewalks and debris from roadways, sponsored by myself, Chair Orietha. I'll pass it to Josh Hamlin to review any amendments or changes. Okay, yes, uh good morning still. Um so with this one in the revised uh virtual binder that you received, I believe there was there was uh an amendment sheet. Uh and what that amendment sheet does is basically remove references to the Department of Public Works and Transportation as the responsible agency and replace it with the agency or agencies so designated by the county executive. And the reason for that change is kind of why we have the second amendment on that sheet, which is adding an uncodified section two uh stating it's the expectation and the desire of the county council that this act will be implemented by the existing strike force 311 program. So those are the amendments on the amendment sheet. There is one additional uh amendment proposed, uh, and that is uh to on page two lines one and two, uh, where it currently provides the council may designate either on its own initiative or at the request of the county executive. Uh the proposal would be to switch the the branches so it's the executive that may designate either on on their own initiative or at the request of the county council. That that concludes the amendments for this bill. Thank you. Uh question from Councilmember Genoga. Um this is a great bill. My question is how will the county council designate? Was it would send a letter from each council office, or is it have to be a resolution? How do you want to handle that? Uh the I think the the the way it's content, it's not spelled out in here, but I think the way it's contemplated is it would be a a letter, the same way you do correspondence to the executive. Um what this does do is leave open the possibility if the executive doesn't for whatever reason grant the request, the council could still do a resolution so designating it.
