CB 072 and that concerning emergency weather operations fund for the purpose of creating an emergency weather operations fund. And I'll turn it over to Mr. Tutt. Thank you, Mr. Chair. CB 72 2026 is an act concerning emergency weather operations fund. This legislation with your approval would create a weather emergency weather operations fund to support the full lifecycle costs associated with the county's emergency weather response, including pre-event staging, active response, and post-event recovery. The bill provides for disbursements from the fund to be used solely for emergency weather mobilization purposes, including snow and ice control, flooding, high wind events, and other weather-related incidents impacting county operations and generally relating to weather preparedness and response. I do have comments from OMB that noted that this idea originated with DPWT specifically during multiple agency budget meeting discussions with OMB. The department discussed their difficulties securing contractor and equipment, contractors and equipment ahead of the winter season due to due to the intense competition with neighboring jurisdictions.
