On August 5, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., the Queen Creek Town Council convened a special meeting at Community Chambers (20727 E Civic Parkway) for the purpose of deciding whether to go into executive session. Mayor Wheatley called the meeting to order, roll was called by Maria, and a quorum was confirmed with Councilmembers Benny, Vice Mayor McClure, Councilmember Brown, Councilmember Martinell, and Mayor Wheatley present; Councilmembers Olifant and Padilla were absent. Mayor Wheatley then listed the six agenda items slated for possible executive session discussion. Immediately after listing the items, Vice Mayor McClure moved to adjourn, seconded by Councilmember Martinell, and the motion carried unanimously. The meeting ended without entering executive session.

Item B annexation and providing utility services. Item C potential annexation of the intersection at Sossman and Germain Roads. Item D, development opportunities at Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Center. Item E, Centered Storage, LLC, V Town of Queen Creek, and item F, the Intergovernmental Agreement for Court Services between the Town of Queen Creek and Maricopa County Santan Justice Court.
