So moved. Second. All in favor? Aye. Aye. All right. And that is approved. Um next up is our time for public comment and items for the audience. This is for any topic that's not related to our public hearing tonight, later tonight. Um who do we have to speak? Uh good evening, commissioners. We have one person signed up to speak, Mr. David Morton. Great. Good evening, Commissioners. I'm David Morton, Redmond 98053. I'd like to bring to your attention a serious environmental concern affecting Redmond. According to the Department of Ecology's Model Toxics Control Act, or MTCA contaminated site list. There are currently 10 contaminated sites within Redmond's critical aquifer recharge area one or CARA 1, and two sites in CARA 2. That's 12 documented contaminated sites in areas specifically designated to protect your drinking water. Zones where surface water percolates down to replenish the aquifers that supply our drinking water. How do we prevent future contamination of the cars? Designating an area as a CARA is important for drinking water protection.
