I'm calling this meeting to order. This is the Parks and Environmental Sustainability Committee of the Hole meeting for June 23rd, 2026, commencing at 4 30 p.m. Council members in attendance in person is Councilmember Forsyth, Councilmember Parsi, and myself, Council Vice President Nueva Committee Kamina as the presiding officer standing in for Council Member Sony. Now we do have Councilmember Sony online. We have half of our team that is attending uh AWC conference in Spokane. So joining us online is Councilmember Sony, as I said, Council Member Prakria as well as Council President Stewart. Councilmember Kritzer will not be joining us. Is there a motion to excuse Councilmember Kritzer this afternoon? So moved. And is there a second? I second. Thank you. That is moved and seconded to excuse Councilmember Kritzer from today's meeting. We have only one action item to discuss today that is on this particular committee. Committee meeting, uh we have one action item that is looking to go to consent. We also have one informational item on this committee that is just informational. And then we also have two, so don't go anywhere too soon once we're done with parks and environmental sustainability because we have two items from other committees to discuss today on the agenda as well. Now the first item on the agenda that we have is from parks and environmental sustainability, and that is the memorandum of understanding or the MOU with East Trail Regional Advisory Council. And it looks like Director Hamilton is not joining us online. However, no worries at all. Lindsay Falkenberg is here to present this item. Hi, Lindsay. Hello, good evening, uh Council President Online, Council Vice President and Council members. I'm Lindsay Falkenberg. I'm the Parks Planning Manager. And tonight I'm bringing forward a proposed update to the East Rail Regional Advisory Council Memorandum of Understanding. The East Rail Regional Advisory Council provides a forum for regional coordination amongst jurisdictions and agencies along the 42 mile east rail corridor, um, helping to advance connectivity, multiple uses, and public benefit. Uh the proposed MOU update is administrative in nature and reflects the departure of the East Rail uh or the East Side Greenway Alliance from the Regional Advisory Council. This change was uh was reached by consensus among the RAC members in October of 2025. Um and Councilmember Forsyth, who serves as uh RAC co-chair and our representative for Redmond has confirmed Redmond's support for this revision. Uh tonight we are requesting that council um move this item forward to approval at the July 7th business meeting where um council will be asked to authorize the mayor to sign the updated MOU and I am happy to answer any questions. Wonderful council, do we have any questions or comments? Seeing none online and none in the room, just want to thank the staff and also um the RAC for ongoing work and support on this. Um the the work, it's one of the fabulous collaborative efforts that we have. So um is there any objection for this going on for consent for July 7th? Um council thumbs up all around. Councilmember Forsyth. Just wanted to make a comment and my appreciation to East uh EastEd Greenway Alliance because of their long-standing commitment to this project and just appreciate their support of the project and appreciate all their hard work and this is a representation that their work on this has completed. So just wanted to say thank you to them. Awesome. Thank you all. I'll see you on July 7th. We'll see you on the July 7th. Real quick point of order. Yes. We do have a standing motion on the floor if we could take a vote on that. To dismiss uh excuse council thank you for that. We we it was uh moved and seconded. All in favor of excusing council member kritzer from this evening's meeting. Say aye.
