All other liquor licenses were sustained as committee recommended.
- South Main Street RV Community (Unfinished Business): The special use permit for an RV and fifth wheel community was approved with an amendment (Torina) requiring a relocation assistance payment of $5,625 per lease site to existing residents who voluntarily relocate within 90 days. The motion passed unanimously. A subsequent motion by Frost to allocate up to $200,000 in Casino funds for qualified relocation costs was laid over to the July 13 committee meeting after legal advice that funding could not be tied to a zoning approval.
- Zoning Text Amendments: Authorization for the Zoning Officer to file multiple text amendments was adopted unanimously.
- Bid Awards and Contracts: Items including wash bay drain replacement ($118,630), Rock River shoreline repair ($570,582.94), purchase of two police vehicles ($52,322.26), MFT fund appropriation ($91,308.49), and RFPs for townhome development and residential infill templates were all approved.

So good evening, everyone. We will call to order the city of Rockford's city council meeting for Monday, June 29th, 2026. But if you do not have a seat right now, you cannot stand in the middle of those aisles uh in council chambers. So I'll give you a minute or two to move up. So at this time you you can't be standing in the aisles, so I'd ask you uh leave, and as seats open up, you can certainly come in. I know there's many important items on the agenda. Thank you. As we begin this evening, uh we have chaplain Ken Henley who will provide us with an invocation. Let's pray. Father in heaven as we come before you tonight. We thank you for this place we have to come to. Thank you for our leaders of this community as they go about their business, trying to keep the safe uh city safe. And Lord, we just pray that you'd be a lighter than our path as they go. And then Lord, we ask that you would be with all of our fire department, our police department, Lord, as they go about their business to keeping us safe. Lord help us to look to you for our help and for our strength in everything we do. Bless in this meeting tonight, we pray, Lord, for we ask these things in Jesus' precious and holy name. Amen. And indivisible with liberty and justice. So you cannot stand or bring in the chairs in the middle of the aisle so people can get in and out of council chambers, and those doors will have to close. There is the TV out front in the lobby that you can follow along, and as seats open up, you can certainly come in and take in any seat that is open. You do. I'm sorry. Thank you. Thank you. A public hearing is being held tonight pursuant to 65 Illinois compiled statutes uh for the agreement to NX for the following property 14xX, 15XX, 16X, Edson Roan at a portion of 8631 11th Street, uh and a portion of 15-35-400-003. Notice of this hearing was given by publication in the Rockford Register Star on June 8, 2026. That notice informed citizens of Rockford that the Rockford City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 29th at 5 30 p.m.
