All items were approved unanimously, including a major planned unit development amendment to allow a multifamily development with reduced density near downtown.
Tonight's invitation is being given by Pastor Dave Coppel of Palm Valley Lutheran Church. Pastor Coppel also serves as chaplain for the uh Round Rock Police Department. Come on up, Pastor, and thank you for everything you do in this community. And uh we all have heavy hearts with what's been going on in Central Texas and our neighbors in Kerr County. So thank you. I have uh two prayers for us tonight. Almighty God, today we are consumed with grief over those lost in the recent flooding, and we come to lean on you and lean on each other. We know that you weep with us in our tragedy, and we come together to pray and to help those we can. Wrap your arms around those who have lost loved ones, support those who have lost homes and property, that together we may rise from tragedy and come forth even stronger and more united. Today, as we're about to begin our meeting, we lift before you all who govern the city of Round Rock. Today we especially ask your blessing upon our mayor, our mayor pro tem, our city council, our city manager and city attorney, and all who work and strive to make this an even better place, and our clerk and deputy clerk. We give you thanks for those in our city government, that they understand that this is a trust from you to be used, not for glory or profit, but for the service of the people. Bless them in the work that they do tonight, that they may serve your people and honor you. Drive away from us any cynicism, selfishness, and corruption. Continue to grant us just and honest government and give us all grace to live together in unity and peace through Christ our Lord. Amen. Amen. And now today it seems appropriate that we pray for all our first responders. Heavenly Father, first responders are often the first to witness devastation. When they encounter tragedy, fill them with hope. Help them to see the good in humanity and the light that still shines in dark places. Let their hearts be anchored in hope that comes from you. Lord guard, our first responders often enter places of risk, burning buildings, crime scenes, natural disasters, go before them, shield them from harm. Let their gear function properly, their training be sharp, and your angels surround them in every perilous moment. In times of fatigue be their strength. When they feel like giving up, renew their energy. Let your joy be the source of their vitality. Refresh them with rest, nourishment, and supernatural renewal so they can continue to serve faithfully. Let our first responders continue to be an example of charity and the great commandment of love for one another. Send down your blessings on these your servants who so generously devote themselves to helping others. Grant them courage when they are afraid, wisdom when they must make quick decisions, strength when they are weary, and compassion in all their work. When the alarm sounds and they're called to aid both friend and stranger, let them faithfully serve. And finally, Heavenly Father, we lift up the families who support our first responders, calm their anxieties and fill their homes with peace. Be their strength while their loved ones are on duty, provide for their needs and protect their relationships. May their love deepen their homes and be havens of rest. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. Amen. Thank you. Thank you, Pastor. I'll call six o'clock city council meeting in order. Caitlin, please call the roll. Here Mayor Pro Tim Stevens. Here.
