Good evening. Tonight's invitation will be given by Pastor Todd Southard of Hope Bible Fellowship. Pastor. First of all, thank you for the opportunity to uh do the invocation. Not every city does this. And so it's a privilege to be able to do it. Let's uh bow our heads, please. Heavenly Father, we come before you this evening with gratitude. And this week before Thanksgiving, we pray for this gathering that pray for the city council and the mayor and and uh their staffs and all who are involved. Uh we give you thanks for the blessing of being here, of living here and working here and serving here. We pray that uh you will help us uh all to enjoy the fruits of the labors of this board and of this city uh in this vibrant community. We thank you for the the growth and the prosperity of Brown Rock and and uh acknowledge the challenges that such growth presents to our city council members in planning and budgeting and so on, and so we pray for them and ask for your hand of favor upon them. May you grant this council and our mayor wisdom and discernment, give them unity in their communication. Uh we pray that you will guide their discussion this evening, that you would help them uh in in working through their agenda, aid them in making thoughtful and formed decisions and to take the actions that are in keeping with carefully prepared plans and help them to be flexible too, Lord, in light of the emerging needs that may come up in discussion. Uh I pray that you would make their load light that you may help them to find joy and satisfaction in the work that they perform and that their work would be easy uh in spite of the difficulties and challenges that they face. Pray for your hand of favor upon them. Pray for your uh safety and security of both them and their families, as indeed uh all the members and families of Round Rock and the businesses as well. May everybody here this evening uh be attentive in their listening, discerning, be with and and uh be so with open hearts. Where there may be disagreements, we pray that everybody would be agreeable and respectful and honorable and honoring uh of each other. Help them to be gracious and mutually respectful. May their communication be a collaboration that is mindful of the complexities and the competing needs of diverse uh uh diverse peoples in a city of this size. Help them to rise to meet the needs of the budgets and the challenges that stress the systems here. Uh just pray for your blessing upon this time. It's in your name that we pray. Amen. Amen.
