The Round Rock City Council met for a packet briefing on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 7:30 AM in the City Council Chambers. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Craig Morgan and included roll call (all members present except Hilda Montgomery, who was out of town). No citizen communication occurred. The briefing covered staff briefings, consent agenda items, resolutions, an ordinance amendment, and a quarterly update from the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce. The regular City Council meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2026, where formal votes will be taken on the discussed items. The meeting adjourned at 8:46 AM.
I'll call 730 packet briefing to order. And please call a row. Mayor Morgan. Here. Mayor Pro Tem Stevens. Here. Councilmember Lee? Here. Councilmember Flores? Here. Councilmember Fleming? Here. Councilmember Otega? Here. Councilmember Montgomery. Councilmember Montgomery will be here Thursday night. She's out of town visiting her mom. Any uh citizen communication? Seeing nine staff briefing. Do you want to consider staff briefings and council member discussion and our questions during that's on the gender for the meeting? City council meeting. So as you know, we start at 5 30. We have a an executive session. So we'll come in and call the meeting to order. Do we do we know if the pastor is coming before 5 30? He is not. He'll be here at 6. He's got to do it before because once the meeting starts. Okay. So just if they can, they can't, they can't, they can't. All right. Um want to come back in. We're going to do all the proclamations before we do citizen communication. Uh uh Councilmember Fleming is asked to do F1. Um, then we'll do F two and F three in that order. Uh I think there'll be some school board members here for F1, so we'll want to get through it where they can get to their board meeting. So uh then staff presentations consent agenda. Anybody have any questions? Councilmember Fleming? Um, I just had a question on H6. I believe it. Um so we're adding, I guess, additional um therapy. So I was just wanting to understand. I know that there was two options with the police before. So is this just adding fire or is this adding just increasing the budget to what existed? I just want a clarification. Because I saw now firefighters, but I weren't sure if firefighters were covered before. Yeah, so uh originally we were using a different vendor for the these services. We're no longer using her services, and PD already had this contract in place with full pond resilience. So we're taking the money from the old contract and adding this as a supplemental so that now fire departments included.
