I'm just curious on uh the Padres now that they switched from the 7030 and they're doing it.

So I'm very interested in finances uh for the city because the Padres are doing so many more events, which is great.

They keep a lot more of the revenue, but because there's so much more every but I don't know where to find that.

It's uh regarding our monthly activity report from Mr.

Chairman, members of the audit committee at Warda Luna, City Auditor.

I'm here to present our monthly activity report since our last meeting.

Um since we last met, we've issued three audit-related products.

This includes the audit of the San Diego Public Library, which will be heard um at this meeting.

In addition, we issued our annual mission bay fund audit for fiscal year 2015, which will also be heard.

And also we completed and issued our annual risk assessment and annual work plan for the upcoming fiscal year.

In terms of audits that are um in progress, these are audits that we have in the report writing stages.

This includes the housing commission audit.

Um also like to bring to the committee's attention that we have two separate reports in the housing commission.

Um report is directed at Development Services Department and it deals with the linkage fees and inclusionary fees, and that'll be issued prior to the main report.

In addition, we are also writing a report on pedestrian safety, and um writing a report on police property and evidence room, which is a follow-up to the grand jury report from last year.

Audit Committee Meeting - June 29, 2016

  • Single Audit Report (FY 2015) from Mercy SG and O'Connell LLP: Presented by the auditors. Michelle Yamamoto from the Fire-Rescue Department described corrective actions for a control deficiency related to documentation. A motion to accept the report passed unanimously.
  • Fiscal Year 2017 Audit Work Plan: The auditor presented the work plan, including carryover audits and new audits. After discussion, a motion by Mr. Hebrink, seconded by Ms. App, to accept the work plan with an amendment to replace the City Attorney audit with the Transportation Stormwater Department Street Repair Quality Assurance Operations audit, passed unanimously. Additional discussion on auditing boards and commissions was noted as a request.
  • Municipal Code Revisions (Chapter 2, Article 6, Division 17): Riley Webb presented proposed revisions to the code related to the audit committee. Discussion included several proposed changes. The item was continued to the next meeting without a vote.
