As a person who supervises youth mentor programs, I appreciated last week's budget modification that included a fentanyl prevention project.

This money is well spent.

It is important to remember that when fentanyl poisonings happen to youth under the age of 25.

It generally occurs when consuming prescription look-alike drugs, for example, Xanax and Adderall, and contaminated tobacco and marijuana vape.

These are bought illegally by young people, and then they turn out to have been contaminated by fentanyl.
