The San Diego City Council convened at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, with all nine councilmembers present. The meeting opened with an invocation by Deputy Clerk Barry, followed by a land acknowledgement and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilmember Von Wilbur. After a single public comment, the council recessed into closed session, scheduled to reconvene at 2:00 p.m.

But now I'm actually able to enjoy my day-to-day life. My first week here, yeah, I made some of my favorites, man. I I made some turkey necks, collagen, cornbread. Yeah, I'm from the south, so yeah, I throw down in the kitchen. Yes, and this is a very safe space. They have have it fenced in security at the front. And it's clean, a clean living environment. And another thing that I'm grateful for, man, was to be able to take a two-hour shower. I don't know if you all everybody's go home, just take that thirty minute shower, whatever, man. That is that is a blessing in itself, man. Cause I was coming from Alpha Project where you can only take a fifteen minute a fifteen minute shower. So yes, man, I'm very grateful for that. And I'm very again, as I continuously say, I'm very grateful for this opportunity to show you all that I too, I too won't change. And I'm gonna do whatever I have to do to make sure that I be the change that I want to see in the world. So I want to again, I want to thank you at the San Diego House and Commission. Again, may I glory you have my full support in what you're pushing. And I just want to thank everyone who contribu contributed in this. Okay, good morning. Also attending the meeting are Deputy City Attorney David Carlin, independent budget analyst, Charles Modica, and myself, your Deputy City Clerk, Jennifer Barry. Thank you. A quorum is now present. We will begin this morning with an invocation by Deputy Clerk Barry, followed with the land acknowledgement and the pledge of allegiance led by Councilmember Von Wilbur. Grant those who hold office in this city the spirit of wisdom, charity, and justice that with steadfast purpose, they may faithfully serve in their offices to promote the well-being of all people. Ready again. Go ahead. Well, can I I can keep going? Your time has long expired. Oh, that's what I thought. I thought you said a minute, so I wasn't sure. Okay, thank you. Thank you.
