Good morning, everybody.

Thank you for being here today for our October twelfth, twenty sixteen environment committee meeting.

All of our council members, our committee members are present.

Uh first we will start with non-agenda public comment.

We have one speaker.

Martha Welch, you have two minutes to speak well.

I think what I um I don't I'm done only one in the county.

Now on the city, um count um Gary Mess, but they do they have um two traffic, but they uh on the it goes in the same place.

I think that I think it goes everywhere in the city, I think because where I live also there's no one there's nobody socky where I live either.

And Adams, um I asked this um fair, there's two people from um PU um up there, and I asked them what when you fuss a toys, where does it go?

They said they dry the solids.

Who did who's who did sign this?

I don't know.

I never heard this everywhere.

I'm where do you dry it?

Uh faster over there or where?

I don't know.

Because it's going on for years and years and years.

I don't know.

Because this is this is antique if you ask me.

I don't think it's right we are doing everything because it's all right, you know, it's not right because it's you uh you always talk to sewer plants, but where is it?

I don't see it, it's not there.

Now, good luck because um the right now is a storm up north and maybe you have snow, the first stone, but remember on the silly, we're in the drought still.

So you have to so we have to stop uh wasting water because um it's not over with the drought.

So double most is the best thing you can do with your water because you can water the plants and you can save money, hopefully on your bill, and you can save water because it's all it's going on, it's not gonna stop.

We had uh super uh snow last year over about um 120 percent snow last year.

We can't expect that every year.

So everybody's happy with the lakes and everything are very high, but it won't go on if we don't save water.

Um note just for folks who are here on items 10 and probably item nine.

We won't get to it at least for an hour guaranteed, probably longer than that.

Um the mayor's office has a comment.

Hi, uh Jack Straw with the mayor's office.

We have Holly Razak from our public utilities department here today.

She'd like to share a couple of updates with the committee.

I have uh just a couple of updates uh to let you know about some of the activities that are going on.

Happy to let you know that the state in fact did release the draft uh feasibility for DPR regulations.

We have been engaged in looking at them, and we're very pleased with what is in those draft regulations.

As you remember, we've been very involved uh with the uh expert folks that were assisting the state.

The uh um review period for public comment ends on October 25th.

We are planning to send a letter of support with some minor suggestions, so that will be happening uh shortly.

So I wanted you to know about that.

And the second thing, and it's really exciting.

We have an open house on uh October 22nd for pure water phase one.

It's going to be at the North City Reclamation Plant from 10 to 3.

Uh you are all invited, uh, all of you and all of the public.

So far, we have 240 uh reservations for tours, so we're really looking forward to it and hoping that you will join us as well.
