- Item 52 – Week of the Young Child: Supervisor Melgar introduced a resolution celebrating April 6–12, 2024, as the Week of the Young Child. Multiple speakers advocated for early childhood educators, noting that 44% of Black children entering SFUSD are kindergarten-ready and that Black children with a Black teacher are 13% more likely to graduate. The resolution passed unanimously.
- Item 54 – AANHPI Equal Pay Day: Supervisor Chan introduced a resolution declaring April 3, 2024, as Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Equal Pay Day, noting that AANHPI women earn 80 cents per dollar compared to 84 cents for all women. The resolution passed.
- Imperative Agenda – Oakland Airport Renaming: Supervisor Peskin introduced a resolution opposing the proposed renaming of Metropolitan Oakland International Airport to “San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport,” citing potential financial harm to SFO and passenger confusion.
