• Supervisor Walton recognized Minister Marvin K. White, ministry at Glide Memorial Church, for his work as a public theologian, poet, and advocate for queer and BIPOC communities.
• Supervisor Dorsey recognized James “Jim” Haas, a fifth-generation San Franciscan and LGBTQ+ pioneer, for his urbanist activism including the Embarcadero Freeway removal and Civic Center preservation.
• Supervisor Fielder recognized Malia Spaniol and Mother Bar, a lesbian/queer bar in the Mission District, for creating a sanctuary for queer women and femmes.
• Supervisor Chan recognized Madeline Lim, filmmaker and co-founder of Queer Women of Color Media Arts Project, for her documentary work and advocacy despite personal risk.
• President Mandelman recognized Ron Gallman, retiring San Francisco Symphony Director of Education and Youth Orchestra after 42 years, for transforming arts education and the Youth Orchestra.
• President Mandelman also recognized Rebecca Rolfe, retiring executive director of the San Francisco LGBT Center after 17 years, for leading the center through financial challenges and expanding services.

Legislation Introduced at Roll Call

• Supervisor Dorsey announced a legislative drafting request to create a San Francisco Hate Crime Reward Fund (up to $100,000 for information leading to conviction), co-sponsored by Supervisors Cheryl, Sauter, Mahmood, Engardio, and Chen.
• President Mandelman introduced legislation to expand the city’s all-electric new construction ordinance to include major renovations, working with SF Environment.
