The Land Use and Transportation Committee of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors held a regular meeting on November 6, 2023, at 9:30 AM. Vice Chair Dean Preston presided in place of Chair Mirna Melgar, who was excused. Board President Aaron Peskin also attended. The meeting consisted of a single agenda item which was continued to the next meeting.

Good afternoon. This meeting will come to order. Welcome to the November 6th, 2023 regular meeting of the Land Use and Transportation Committee of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. I'm Supervisor Dean Preston chairing the committee today for Supervisor Mirna Melgar. I'm joined uh by uh Board President Aaron Peskin and the committee clerk today is John Carroll, and our thanks to the team at SFGov TV for staffing this meeting. Mr. Clerk, any announcements? Agenda item number one is an ordinance amending the planning code to create the nonprofit arts education special use district, generally bounded by Francisco Jones, Chestnut, and Leavenworth Streets, and with an address of 800 Chestnut amending the zoning map to show the nonprofit arts education special use district and affirming the appropriate findings. This item, which was previously scheduled, but due to lack of a quorum at the Historic Preservation Commission, uh has not um is not yet ready to hear. And therefore, subject to public comment, I would like to continue this item one week until next Monday, and then because of our truncated time schedule, send it as a committee report for the full board of supervisors to consider on Tuesday, November 14th.
