So colleagues, this has been a uh very long hearing.

We uh began it back in June.

And to refresh everyone's memory, in June, I was concerned.

I think others were concerned.

My office had heard concerns about the fact that the SB 1045 program, uh, which had been which the city had opted into about a year prior at that point, or more than a year prior, had still not uh resulted in a single petition for an SB 1045 conservatorship.

Um we held that we began this hearing in June to uh understand what the reasons for the delay were and received assurances that uh Department of Public Health and the Office of Public Conservator were uh had made progress, that they had been delayed by COVID and other things, but that uh they were on the cusp of in fact being able to bring a petition.

Um we have the back in July and uh again heard that uh they were making progress but had not yet been able to identify uh a candidate or or bring a petition.

Um we skipped August.

We decided to give them a little bit of time uh and had them back in September.
