Item number one is the resolution approving the official naming for two street segments within the Hunters View Hope SF infrastructure phase three project approving memory lane as the official street name for the yet-to-be-constructed unnamed street that starts at the intersection of Catalina Street and Middle Point Road on the north and ends at the southerly terminus where it rejoins Middle Point Road and continue the street name of Fairfax Avenue from the unbuilt segment at the intersection with Middle Point Road to its easterly terminus at memory lane.

And before we hear from Mo C D with the presentation, I just want to state that we wanted to do something to make sure that we honored the memory of folks and community, and we wanted to make sure that there was a process where community provided input.

And so the street name memory lane was chosen by residents in Huntersview working with uh Mo C D.

And so I just want to make sure everyone knows that this is something that went through a process, and the main focus is to honor the memory and legacy of so many folks from the Huntersview area that fought to make sure that there were improvements in the community.

Um, as a refresher, Hope SF was created under then Mayor Gavin Newsom's administration in response to diminishing federal funding for San Francisco's largest and most neglected public housing sites, namely Alice Griffith, Huntersview, Sayedale, and Petrero.

Hope SF represents a continuing commitment by the city to achieve reparations for the insidious impacts of past and ongoing trauma, systemic and institutional racism, and deep and persistent poverty.

Chronic disinvestment by the city and these sites over many decades had resulted in a neighborhood disconnected from the larger city grid to restore basic necessities and public benefits to Hope SF communities.
