2:11

I also worked as a uh liaison to public works, uh PUC.

2:17

I served as a commissioner on PUC, and um just as a citizen, I would love to serve on this board to maintain uh transparency, efficiency, and um uh ensure that uh a lot of the uh the work and infrastructure that's going on in the city is done in a proper manner, um, always taken into the interests of the uh citizens of our city.

Speaker 1

3:07

make

Speaker 4

3:09

sorry about that.

3:10

Um quick question.

Speaker 3

3:15

Yes, sir.

Speaker 4

3:18

Your experience in the fire department and the interaction with the streetscape.

3:26

How how do you see your kind of your experience in accessing the curbside, access to the roadside as a as a member of the fire department influencing your work on public works in the way that they may look at curb cuts or streetscape improvements or any other items like that?

Speaker 3

3:46

Uh yes, sir.

3:47

So I think I have a unique um perspective.

3:50

Whereas um, you know,

Unassigned speaker

3:52

I

Speaker 3

3:53

I think that there is uh public access.

3:56

There's um, you know, merchant access, commercial access, but public safety is number one, and I think that um we do need to have access for emergency vehicles.

4:07

Um our city is uh susceptible to earthquakes, uh large fires, etc.

4:15

And um we need to be able to have the ability to access uh areas where we have, for example, large gatherings or maybe a large apartment buildings.

4:26

And so I in my opinion, I think that that has to be taken into consideration when uh implementing these uh procedures.

Speaker 4

4:34

All right, thank you.
