So I'm a longtime resident of the.

Okay, thank you.

Um so I'm a longtime resident of Santa Rosa.

I've been a homeowner here for a little over 10 years, and I've been a transactional paralegal for a little over 11.

Um I grew up in a firefighting family where labor issues were very regularly discussed around the dinner table.

Um that inspired an interest in labor relations, but more importantly, there were a lot of lessons learned about accountability, compromise, and fairness.

And I applied for the personnel board because I think that this is a meaningful way to engage in my community.

I'll I'll ask one other question before turning over to counsel.

What what do you what do you perceive is the most important job of the personnel board?

Well, I think that the most important job in the personnel board is to is for each member to show up with an unbiased outlook.

Um I I think that whenever possible, um the goal should be working towards corrective action uh that reinforces positive behavior.

Um I I think that we all come to the table with our own experiences and opinions and expectations, but doing one's best to shed that at the door so that one can clearly look at the set of facts and um clearly weigh each side of the story is is the most important function that a personnel board member can exhibit the.

First for thank you for applying for the position.

Uh my colleagues and myself are elected by the people to represent the people.

And although our personnel ultimately serves the agency of the city of Santa Rosa, but I would hope that staff would also think of the community and doing their jobs as ultimately we're all trying to better the lives of Santa Rosans.

And I'm wondering what your feeling of that is and what have you personally done to advocate for the people of Santa Rosa?

Well, I I as far as my opinion on that, I agree that it's kind of a um symbiotic relationship.

The people of the Santa Rosa of Santa Rosa work to keep this a wonderful place to live while the personnel of Santa Rosa work for the people.

Um we've all got a common goal.

Um as far as what I've done personally to serve in Santa Rosa, um I was a member of Wine Country Young Democrats many years ago before I aged out.

Um in the last few years, I I my apologies.

My volunteer work has been more towards working towards going to school to get my doctorate in site in clinical psychology.

So I served as a counselor on the suicide prevention hotline for a year.
