Key changes include removing a connecting piece between the main roof and the porch roof to restore the historical separation, and repairing select gutters and downspouts. Board Member Huang recused himself due to living within 600 feet of the property. Board members universally praised the project's thorough research and sensitivity. Chair Meuser, drawing on his roofing experience, recommended using copper flashing, ensuring all flashing is replaced, and providing historic oversight during construction to prevent damage to the historic structure.

So staff is requesting is this is a big ask for our board members for the Cultural Heritage Board. But if you could all look at your calendars for September 15th, that's next Thursday, and that's a regular meeting of the design review board. But when we have an agenda ready to post for that, but it hasn't been posted yet. We'd like to continue this item to a date certain. If you all can tell me if you're available, we we just need a quorum. So I'm asking that of the Cultural Heritage Board, not the design review board at this point.
