A friendly reminder that the Shorelite winter light display is still on view through now through January 11th.

We encourage you to bring your friends and family to see the lights.

Food trucks are there most weekends and or every weekend and most weekdays.

We have another Tuesday walking group happening tomorrow, December 9th.

Meet up with our volunteer walker Donna at 10 a.m.

at North City Elementary School.

There is still time to register your porch, balcony, or storefront for Shore Lakes Shorelights Porch Parade.

Register your light display by December 15th to be featured on the city's light display map.

The next city council meeting will take place on Monday, December 15th at 7 p.m.

in the council chambers.

The Planning Commission will meet on Thursday, January 15th, also in the Council Chambers at 7 p.m.

And the Parks Recreation and Cultural Services Tree Board next meeting is January 22nd at 7 p.m.

at City Hall.

Are there any council reports this evening?

Councilmember Adamasu.

Thank you, Mayor.

I attended a national webinar on the Federal Department of Energy's advanced notice of proposed rulemaking, ensuring the timely and orderly interconnection of large loads like data centers, which will mark a turning point and how fast growing demand for electricity is integrated into the grid and who bears the cost of upgrades.

This federal proposed legislation will outline this policy shift and will affect state and local planning and involve utilities, regulators, and communities navigating the wave of data center growth.

And the Federal Energy Commission should be making the vote in January.

So it's going to happen really soon.

It shows the housing needs of people earning between zero and fifty percent AMI is not on track countywide.

I got to visit the Parks Board on uh Thursday of last week, which was lovely as always.

And uh a couple of announcements.

One that the sort of what we had held last year in partnership with the Seattle Youth Soccer Association, uh, the Kids World Cup event is going to be now a partnership with the city and SYSA.

It's going to be on July 12th.

Uh and uh more of a jamboree, so not just for little kids, but for soccer players of all ages.
