So as you know, we uh approved the major update recently, um December 16th of last year, but um the state does um allow the process to go on.

So we advertise for the 2025 docket, um, took requests, the deadline was December 1st of 2024.

Um this is just an outline of what happens, the um uh proposed amendments are collected through December 1st, 24.

Anyone, any resident can um can make a uh amendment to the uh or put an amendment on the docket.

So um council looked at all the amendments that were submitted during uh their evaluation of the comprehensive plan.

They did end up um approving all the public initiated ones, mostly had to do with trees and the natural environment element and two in the transportation element.

Um so for 2025, let's go to the next slide.

Um there's one staff initiated amendment.

This is to remove a um the bike uh level of traffic stress table that is in the transportation element and to delete that and to amend some corresponding language.

Um the next slide will show which map we're talking about.

This is um in the transportation element and it's the uh level of traffic stress.

Um this is a um basically a guide or a blueprint that can be used to make development decisions.

Um it's defined how LTS is measured on specific streets and can guide guide the identification of capital treatments to provide the desired LTS level on individual streets.

Um public works staff, I don't believe this is too specific for the conference of plan, and it's really regulated by um standards in the engineering development manual, which um so if there's changes we can change those administratively, but um that's why the reasoning of why we want to get rid of this table in the transportation element and then the next slide would show us the corresponding language.

Commissioner Mei-shiou Lin asked whether the table in the EDM is identical to the one in the Transportation Element; Mr. Szafran confirmed the table is a copy and would be struck from the comp plan because the EDM version is the operative reference. The commission discussed no other amendments.
