And I understand you are still uh actively working, so if you need to pass your time tonight, uh, I do understand that as well, but thank you for um thank you for participating.

Uh so tonight we are uh gathered for a municipal attorney application interview.

Um we do have one applicant this evening um that we will be interviewing.

Uh fortunately we have a new HR director as well, so you don't have to hear me talk about this again.

We get to turn it over to Josh, and Josh gets to talk about our festivities tonight.

So I appreciate you being here, Josh, and jumping in so quickly on all of this.

Um did today's what day five or six for you.

So um no, we really appreciate the the help on this.

Um it's it's good to have that role filled.

So uh the floor is yours, please.

Good evening, Mayor, Assembly members, administrator, Sarah.

Very glad to be here tonight and uh to support through this um vital undertaking as we work to select a municipal attorney.

Earlier this week I provided a couple of read-ahead documents, one of which is some proposed acceptable interview questions that are uh just a guide that you uh that the assembly can use at their discretion.

Um I know in previous meetings there's been a question about the consistency between interviewing and the general guidance is that we try to be as consistent as we can, but also as the interview progresses, anything that you naturally would like to ask as a result of an answer or anything else that pops up is is also um recommended and free to choose to ask as well.

With that said, there were the second document that was provided was some general guidance on questions to avoid, mostly related to protected classes and making sure that we are not asking anything that would uh potentially set us up for liability related to discrimination of a of an applicant.

And um, if you guys have any questions about that, I'm here to support and uh and guide as needed tonight.
