The Confirmation of Appointments and Personnel Matters Committee met on December 4, 2025, convening at 6:31 PM and adjourning at 6:33 PM. The committee considered and approved multiple internal promotions within the Somerville Fire Department, along with the approval of prior meeting minutes. One agenda item was withdrawn and replaced by a subsequent item. All decisions were passed unanimously by the four present councilors (Councilors Hardt, Strezo, McLaughlin, and Ewen-Campen), with Councilor Clingan absent.

Um, pursuant to chapter two of the Acts of 2025. This meeting of the committee will be conducted via remote participation, and we will post an audio recording, an audio video recording, and comprehensive record as soon as possible after the meeting on the City of Somerville website. Um colleagues, number five on our agenda is being withdrawn by the administration, and it has been uh replaced by a similar item with a different candidate. Um I see liaison Hutter is here. Can you just confirm that? Yes, thank you, Mr. Chair. That item will be withdrawn, and you're correct. Item nine um is the replacement candidate for that role. Thank you. Excellent. So we have a number of internal fire promotions. I've reviewed all of the materials. I'm more than satisfied with these candidates and excited to recommend approval of them. And I didn't think it was a good use of anybody's time to invite them here for a bunch of questions. So if the committee agrees, I'd like to take up everything on the agenda one through nine as well as the vote to adjourn and uh call the roll on that. Second. Perfect. Okay.
