God, our Heavenly Father, we come to you at the beginning of this new term with gratitude for the privilege of service and the responsibility entrusted to the Board of Representatives. We thank you for each member present for the for their diverse gifts they bring and for their willingness to lead on behalf of the people of Stanford. Lord, as they gather for this first meeting, we ask for your wisdom to rest upon them. Grant them clarity of thought, unity of purpose, and spirit of collaboration that transcends differences. May every discussion be guided by integrity, every decision shaped by fairness, and every action rooted in the desire to promote the well-being of all residents. Bless this board with patience and courage, strengthen them to face challenges with creativity and resolve. Help them to listen carefully and diligently and work diligently for the common good. Be marked by wisdom, unity, and a deep commitment to justice and equity. May the decisions made here today build a stronger, safer, and more hopeful future for our city.
