God, our Heavenly Father, we come to you at the beginning of this new term with gratitude for the privilege of service and the responsibility entrusted to the Board of Representatives.

We thank you for each member present for the for their diverse gifts they bring and for their willingness to lead on behalf of the people of Stanford.

Lord, as they gather for this first meeting, we ask for your wisdom to rest upon them.

Grant them clarity of thought, unity of purpose, and spirit of collaboration that transcends differences.

Uh the democrats have elected major uh representative Eric Morrison to be the majority leader.

The two deputy majority leaders elected by the Democrats are Representative Dan Sanford and Representative Maureen Pollock.

Next is the appointment of the parliamentarian, representative Michael McEwen is appointed as the parliamentarian of the board.

I also appoint Representative Tom Bouchard as the sergeant at arms.

Moving on to the appointment of the standing committees.

In an effort to streamline the committees, I have structured them in anticipation of some committees being consolidated.

Therefore, you may notice some chairs and members on some of these committees repeated.

If consolidation is approved through the board rule change, this will minimize the disruption of members having to change committee assignments.

The members of this committee will be representative Johnson, Representative Dorsey, the present representative Goldberg, Representative Bouchard, Representative Graham, Representative Le Pine, and Representative Dela Cruz.

Land Use Urban Development Committee.

This also has co-chairs.

The committee members will be Representative Beckham, Representative Finkel, Representative Gardner, Representative Adams, Representative Baudreau, Representative Politia, and Representative Field.

The vice chair will be Representative Camporelli.

The members of this committee will be Representative Weinberg, Representative Blank, Representative Le Pine, Representative Hyatt, Representative Stone, Representative Hughes, and Representative Boudro.

Operations Committee.

The chair of this committee will be Representative Sanford.

The Vice Chair will be Representative Pelicia.

Parks and Recreation Committee.

Personnel Committee.

Public Health and Safety Committee.

The chair will be Representative Bouchard.

Transportation Committee.

Chair will be Representative Weirs.

Housing Development, Housing Community Development Social Services Committee.

This will have co-chairs.

Education Committee.

Co-chair will be Maureen Representative Pollack.

And the other co-chair will be Representative Silverstree.

State and Commerce Committee, Co-Chairs, Representative Pollock, and Representative Silverstray.

Steering Committee.

The following representatives will serve on the steering committee with one vote.

Representative Johnson, Representative Morrison, Representative Zachary, Representative McEwen, Representative Sanford, Representative Weinberg, Representative Bouchard, Representative, Representative Camporelli, and Representative Adams.

The following co-chairs will save on this will serve on the steering committee with half a vote each per the board rules.

Representative Shore, Representative Gardner, Representative Pollack, Representative Silverstreet, Representative Price, and Representative Hughes.

With the consolidation of committees, I do anticipate some changes to the steering committee.

Moving on to the special committees and presidential appointments.

At this time, I will not be announcing any of the presidential appointments in special committees as I do need some more time with that.

I plan to announce them at the next regular board meeting on January 5th, 2026.

So the current members will serve on those committees until then.

The next is the resolution to approve the 2026 Board of Representatives calendar.

The resolution reads as follows: be it resolved by the 32nd Board of Representatives in accordance with section C2-10-5 of the charter of the city of Stanford.

The attached schedule of regular monthly board meeting dates of the Board of Representatives and the regular monthly steering committee meeting dates is hereby approved.
