I'm gonna call the um plan Saint Pot Planning Commission meeting to order for today Friday August 2nd.

And our time is 8 38.

First thing on the uh first of all, I'm um of course I'm not Chair Grill.

And I'm just uh filling in for her as the first vice president.

She is not able to attend today.

So the first thing of order on the agenda is the approval of the minutes of July 19th.

And I have a motion.

Um I checked in with Yasmin to see if there was any um announcements from the chair and chair grill didn't leave me any announcements, but I do want to repeat what Yasmin talked about, the um preserved Minnesota conference coming up uh September 18th through September, September 20th.

I also wanted to let you know that I will be participating as a presenter um along with some other folk for one of their planning sessions on the 19th at 1.30.

The name of our session is Black Voices in Preservation Planning and Context Studies.

I will be talking about uh first African St.

Paul, African American historic cultural context study, along with what Minneapolis has started doing um a cultural context study as well, and with um one of the planning people from there, CPID, and um with Judge Lajune Lang, um, who is acting as um leading the plan the task force in Minneapolis.

So that's all the announcements I have and moving right along to the director's announcements.

Um is the APA conference, which we will have uh Tony speaking in about the item that we have on the agenda today.

So he's not here today, but uh that's exciting.

Okay, well, going right into the zoning committee.

I see one of the items was taken off the the agenda, but we still have uh 920 Atlantic for CUP.

Um, so yes, uh, we did have two items at Law Zoning Committee on the White Air V zoning, which was a HTRM2 zone.

The applicant has temporarily withdrawn that application.

I think I'm gonna make some changes to that, even though we discussed and voted, so we're not we're not bringing recommendations before you today.

Um the other one we did was the um the Atlantic uh CEP, and that was a conditional use plan for an author of casting that was um a unanimous approval.

Um I don't have any details, I think that was a late slide meeting.

So anyone from the submissive wants to add anything to that um to that one feel free, otherwise we'll just move straight to the recommendation and a committee is for approval.

Okay, and I think uh no one wants to add anything, so I think we're just gonna go motion for approval as a pass coming out of things we've 920 Atlantic C UC, which is the CUP for considered pass session.

that meeting so anyone from the system wants to add anything to that um to that one feel free otherwise we'll just move straight to a recommendation on the committees for approval okay and i think uh no one wants to add anything so i think we're just gonna go motion for approval as it as coming out of things on 920 atlantic case the CP for it comes to repair session do I have a second second then moved and seconded to approve the 920 atlantic CUP conditional use permit for an auto repair station all in favor okay any opposed abstentions see none of those um the conditional permit has been approved for 920 atlantics um atlantic for the CUP 30 oh and then our our our next meeting will be on Thursday it was 8th at 330 p.m and uh the one item on the agenda currently is a CP for 1807 field and that says CP for a farmers market so in that sense all right um that's me uh commissioner hood had a question sure yeah um I have a question regarding the white bear rezoning that was a uh a longer more contentious um uh rezoning for a public hearing and they ultimately did receive approval so I'm curious was there a stated reason are they going back to the drawing board are they going to come back to us because typically if there's something that is that contentious uh you don't want to reopen that after you uh got approval so I was curious if there is any insight on that and if they do come back to us with the rezoning do we have to go through the public uh hearing process again if the application changes enough oh what's the status on that thank you and commissioner caggy off right or um direct um came from the director so I really don't know yeah so um the applicant asked to withdraw um I don't want to disclose too much information because I do think that the application will be coming back okay um so just know that it was uh initiated by the applicant and I do think that we'll see this back um probably in one of the next okay thank you thank you i'm sorry but uh um would it go back to the zoning committee or it depends on what they're just yes because the application has been withdrawn okay well table along the same line so there's another public hearing that's do I up to that one it's good to reply yes because the application is withdrawn that um if the applicant wants to submit a new application it would go through the it process just like a doctor's appointment is there any more questions okay thank you okay next up is the comprehensive neighborhood planning committee and um the cannabis the adult cannabis zoning study and Tony and Ellie will be given another prince short presentation wondering share the screen so that's you have to turn it on by the TV so the buttons right under the LGBTQ bring to that we can find TV last week so it's anything to say okay thanks

Chapter 342 in the state legalized cannabis for possession use, manufacturing, and sale in the state of Minnesota.

They should be issuing licenses in early 2025.

I did just see that they opened up applications for social equity applicants this week, I think.
