Call to order the Saint Paul Planning Commission meeting for Friday January 10th 2025.

And this is our first one of the years.

So I do want to extend a happy new year to everyone here today and our guest in the audience and to our staff as well.

So thank you.

And so we will get started.

First thing on the agenda is approval of the minutes from December 13th.

And I will abstain because I was not there the last meeting.

As you see, uh most of you notice, right?

Uh Chair Grill is not here.

So I'm taking her place for today's meeting, along with my assistants from Mr.

Reiseberg who will assist me in yielding any questions or people that I might miss your hands up.

So bear with me as always.

So she didn't give me any uh particular announcements, but I have a little cold, so you have to excuse me.

I would like to, for those of you who have children in the St.

Paul Public Schools, this time they have selected a um super new superintendent.

So that's exciting.

The contract's not signed yet, but um they do plan for that to be done and that she will be taking uh um starting uh yet this school year, so I'm kind of happy uh about that.

And I just um I don't know if people in here um got a flyer from Commissioner Thomas, C Ann Thomas.

Um I got a nice beautiful um brochure in the mail, um, talking about her um history in um real estate and just um the values that she takes in helping people um become homeowners and um I was really moved by her story, so I hope um one day you might share that because that was really a fantastic story and her commitment to really helping um people uh find home ownership, but doing it with uh high high uh standards and integrity because a lot of people can get into mortgages and find terrible houses if their realtor is not um upright.

So um I wanted to uh to share that with you with our uh planning our other commissioners.

So um thank you for that.

Um so um that's about you know anything that I personally has um filling in for the chair um for my announcements, and so I'll turn it over to our director, our planning director.

Um I was going to give some um updates on a few things, but wanted to wait until Chair Grill was here, so I think we'll do those at the next meeting.

Um you know, including uh the SharePoint site, um, some materials that will be in there.

Um we will be planning for the elections.

Um stay tuned for all that.

Um so we have uh form access today.

Um SMACTA is 25 George rezoning, that's fine on 24096153.

That was a rezoning B1 local business to H1 residential districts, and uh that was um you know actually approved by the committee.

So motion to that committee is to approve.

Um so with that um I'll make the motion right.

United motion, it's already on the table.

Um and it's the need to be such discussion, however.

That is from a B2B community business to a T3 traditional neighborhoods.

Um, and that was uh approved um full to nothing with um Commissioner Stalling abstaining.
