18:23The resolution to honor extraordinary life and legacy of Dr.
18:28Kohart and the trailblazing efforts in community health care services.
18:34Kohart has dedicated his professional life to a health care service, and in doing so, he has become a pillar of service to the city of Syracuse and its residents.
18:43And whereas in 1977, ooh.
18:52Kohart established the Syracuse Community Health Center to create a local health care center that prioritized providing quality and compassion care to people from all walks of life, but especially to those who might otherwise be excluded from health care services.
19:08And under the visionary leadership of Dr.
19:10COHAR, the Syracuse Community Health Center has grown from humble beginnings to being of the forefront of community health care, employing more than 450 people serving in approximately 65,000 patients annually and has positioned itself as Anadaga County largest and most impactful organization.
19:31Kohar efforts have never gone unnoticed, receiving several prestigious accolades, including the Citizen of Year Award from the Urban League of Anadaga County, the Governor's Ward of African American Distinction, and he was also awarded the Jefferson Award, which is presenting of outstanding dedication to the community service.
19:51That was just a brief of it, but I want to honor Dr.
20:00He's no longer here with us, but his heart will be, his legacy will, and we thank you him and his family for um supporting um the Syracuse community and creating what we all know as the Syracuse Community Health Center.

20:23Well, you know, I have been on a council for five years.
20:28And I don't remember a time when we voted to honor one of our own was a street sign as counselors.

20:59You are a mentor to some of us that decided to be crazy and got into politics.

21:20And you have gone above and beyond for every one of us here.
21:26And this small token, I want to thank Counselor Cardwell for bringing it up in front of us.
21:33And just know that all of us here, we may not always say it, but we deeply, deeply appreciate what you do and your present and everything that you have done.
21:44Just know we are watching, and we have learned a lot from you, and we are beyond grateful for your present.
21:51And this couldn't be a better welcoming back present to you.

22:09Um, what I would love to say is as um a leader um as a representative of the first um to be the uh African American female as a president.

22:33Um, and I am honored to be stand next to you and to call you my president.
22:39Um, and I'm also honored that as a council body that we are recognizing someone that is so amazing and who has put a lot of work in this community, and people don't know the cost of the oil to be a part of um uh a legacy and a leadership of a community.
22:58And we all signed up for it, and we are so grateful and loving.
23:01But we are we have a person that is shows us that leadership and shows us the fight, even in the midst of her own fight, she was still with us and supporting and guiding us and leading us, and then she came back and said, I'm back, and we thank you for that.
23:17And like um Councilman Joke said, recognizing um counselor um Hudson is just one of many things that I would love to continue to see going on.
