The Syracuse Industrial Development Agency board met on October 21, 2025, to approve previous meeting minutes, a waiver of the local access policy for a downtown project, and a major construction package for the North Side Genesee development. All votes were unanimous.
I'd like to call to order a meeting of the Syracuse Industrial Development Agency. We'll start with a roll call of the board. I'm Kathy Murphy. Thank you very much. The first item is a request from four hundred South Salina Street for a waiver of your local access policy. Look, you have some kind of special special soundproofing door. I'm staying in my lane, Ken. The entity they are looking to use is out of Rochester, a company by the name of Davis Spetch. Uh the the amount of the um purchase and installation is 81,810, which represents just about 10% of the total project build-out, and therefore they are requesting a waiver of your policy. Nice seeing everyone. Uh yeah, so we have a um a we're looking for a turnkey uh wood framing um package. That would be a supply install um panelized wood framing for the entire building. Um, it's a rather large package, it's uh 5.6 million dollars. Uh that represents about eight percent of the total budget for the project. So what we did was uh again, a couple years have gone by through all this. What we did was we were um putting this out, we put it out to um basically as a supply or an install, and then we got one supply number, one install number from local contractors. Um we looked at the project as a whole, but like this needs to be like a turnkey thing. We can't we can't have these two, but there's uh a BIM coordination effort that needs to happen.
