Uh and uh so just a quick update today.

The uh JSCB staff along with the program manager has been reviewing the draft uh project labor agreement feasibility study.

And um though we had thought we might have something for today, uh we've decided it warrants a more in-depth review.

So we're going to uh do some more internal review with the program manager and then meet with uh Tim Saylor, the engineering consultant to go over it in more detail.

I think the goal is to make sure we're not just getting a generic kind of PLA study.

We we want to make sure it's tailored specifically to our project.

So it's worth putting the time into it because the delay will not adversely affect our schedule, and um that way we'll we'll come up with a better product, which will most likely be at the December board meeting because the next board meeting in November because of the Thanksgiving holiday, we have a shortened period between now and then.

We uh we we will be having a November meeting, just won't be ready on this one.

Correct, it got the it won't be ready for the board.

We'll be continuing to review it on the staff level with the program manager.

And then the uh good news is we've received proposals from I believe five architects for the uh design of phase one buildings, right?

Phase three of phase phase one of phase two.

That's right, yeah.

Um I believe the uh RFP committee is going to meet Friday tomorrow to start looking at those.

And uh program manager can provide more detail in his report, but that pretty much sums it up.

Um first item on the report there is just the comprehensive plan that did get submitted to the state and to uh SED and state comproller's office.

Uh currently under review with them.

We did get some uh feedback from SED that they plan on having comments back to us before Thanksgiving uh state compontroller.

We haven't heard much from them, but um good news it's in for review.

Uh as Joe mentioned, we did receive architect proposals for the phase A projects.

Uh we had good participation there, and the committee's gonna start meeting tomorrow, and then hopefully within a week or so we can uh make selections for interviews, have it interviews the first part or sorry, the late part of November, early part of December, and move on with the award process from there.

Uh CMRFP.

Um we anticipate putting it out in the first quarter.

Potentially we could advertise by the end of the year.

Um still working on comments for the RFP, but uh moving forward with that.

Um PLA, Joe mentioned um still under review, and then just um down at the bottom there of the sheet, we've got some timelines, uh milestones of upcoming and things that have uh already happened.

Um we do have the one constraint listed there.

Uh comp plan approval from the state level, uh which prevents us from signing up architects and starting the design process.

So once we have that, um we'll be in good shape.

Um so the at the pre-proposal meeting, how many architecture firms attended that?

There's uh 10 firms that attended, but some were there to looking to partner up with other firms.

And we did the five that submitted there could be combined correct.

Uh next we have resolution number 12, which would authorize our annual directors and offices liability insurance.

I'm pleased to report the premium only increased uh slightly over one percent from last year.

Uh it's with the same company, Greenwich Insurance.

So we fail it's uh it's a solid policy that continues to cover the board.

How many companies actually do this kind of insurance?

Do you go out and get quotes from various companies each year?

So the we use the city's insurance agent, Haler Fryer and Kuhn, and and they go out to the marketplace and shop it around.

Um I do think we we are somewhat of a tech um challenging client because the way the state set up the JACB board, it's kind of a hybrid agency between the city and school district.

It's not an independent standalone corporation.

So I think it some insurance companies shy away from it because it's just doesn't fit the usual uh role.

But we've been fortunate over the years to always be able to obtain a policy for a reasonable price.
