All right, so pretty start off again with uh what you guys are looking for.

You know, um the common council office consists of um council president at large councillors, district councillors, and we have uh legislative aid and um two secretaries and one secretary for the president of the common council.

Um if you notice the one thing that changed here, that um we got a we got a new sec we got a secretary, a new secretary for the president of the common council.

Therefore the temporary services you will see is zero now.

And uh that's pretty much it for the and I think a change to that would be that what was sort of a part-time, now it's a full-time.

Yeah, we just uh we just basically eliminated, yeah, we just eliminated temporary services.

Yeah, if you notice that and the 30,000 that went there, yeah.

Okay.

Yeah, um, some of the things that was mentioned um that was suggested uh from counselors were that we increase professional services.

If you notice that um that that increased that increased uh thank you to 200,000.

Okay.

And also what we did include, we we included uh chamber upgrades.

There's been conversation about some things in the chambers that needed to be upgraded, and so we included uh additional 30,000 dollars in there for a chamber upgrade.

Training, great.

That's good too.

And again, we got more paper for you guys, I think, because of Nader.

And God for NATO.

I would emphasize training with NICON with uh with with folks, especially um DPW, um zoning and um arcs and the financial crew there.

Um offer some amazing uh training and conferences that the council I think that will really benefit from.

So the other thing that I um wanna uh suggest, as I suggest last year is that you upgrade your staff, um, as far as like um, you know, you right now you guys have secretaries and uh uh um and uh administrative aid, you know.

Um if you look at um cities and towns around us, you know, they have um you know, the secretaries are administrative aid, and and we have uh policy analysis, they have policy analysis, and you know, and I I think that you guys are selling yourself short with um passing the legislation and then the last legislation kind of like falling and no one following up, you know, we had a policy analysis or um or administrative aid signed to NBD or administrative aid signed for finance and such and such or whatever um you know specifically that would um that would help the council more because right now um you guys vote on legislation and it just you know it comes back to you the way it comes back to you all, you know.

So I really think really really emphasizing this year.

Um like um start thinking about that if you don't do it this year to really really start thinking about incorporating a policy court policy analysis or communication court uh coordinator, a research council, a legislative assistance, some of those titles there.

I'll be more than willing to research and and um and give you guys um what the other um surrounding cities and towns are doing.

Um well, yeah, the description of the job descriptions of those.

So you guys so in that respect this this secretary for the president is also a coordinate, he's coordinating communication, so that is that's good.

Yeah, that's good.

Uh and most of the most of the um most of the um the cities around us, they they don't like have a president secretary.

Uh and most of the most of the um most of the um the cities around us they they don't like have a president secretary, they have um like um legislative senior legislative aid that helps the whole council, you know, and um so that's what I'm you know trying to get you guys to see to so thank you yeah thank you for suggesting that and we I mean uh in the legislative aid position that we have right now it's you know kind of functioning as our policy analysis and and helps us with finances understanding financials.

Yeah, so so we would really need to take a look into that.

We need to look at that and look at the fact of what your secretaries um to actually um I think to point your secretaries in directions that you want to.

That's why I think that they shouldn't be secretaries, they should be legislative aides, you know, assigned to several different departments or whatever, so they can keep track of what's going on, you know, and um, you know, uh yeah.

And with any the increasing training, we can certainly get there.
