The Syracuse Common Council held its regular meeting on May 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance and an invocation by Reverend Mayor, celebrating 200 years at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. All council members were present. The council approved previous minutes, held a public hearing with no speakers, received committee reports, and voted on numerous resolutions, including proclamations and honorary street naming. Several items were held for later consideration.
Oh, here we go. So how you on this one? When you get here, you're gonna say um you're not you you're not gonna do this gonna be a special meeting thing. We were we would deal with this at the special meeting. Yeah, and you're gonna you're gonna say the municipal side wall program would be uh would be added to the special meeting um Friday. We'll be added. On Friday again. Yep. So did so do the nap it all in the butt. You can just say on the last two uh the next two meetings um the these two public heroes would be uh Maybe at the special meeting in that question. Oh wait just one. Oh no no, you don't have to say that about this. You can just say we had a public meeting. This right here is we had a public meeting. We had and that's one bad class. I do a thing. Is it time? Uh we invite to the podium, Reverend Mayor, celebrating 200 years at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Yes. Gracious God, we give you thanks for bringing us to this place. We give you thanks for the many, many people who serve your people in our beautiful city, the city of Syracuse. We give you thanks especially for our mayor, for members of the council, police officers, sanitation workers, teachers, firefighters, nurses and doctors, home health care aides, construction workers, all the people who help us follow the rules, and all of those who write the rules of government. Truly, you have blessed us richly with these wise, courageous, thoughtful people. Grant wisdom and insight and understanding to members of our council that they may lead us in living peacefully and constructively and healthfully together. We pray this in your name. Amen. Okay.
