Veterans banners like these will hang from light posts on Dixie, also designated as Veterans Parkway.

3:12

City Council member Corey Fallock is taking the lead.

3:16

Both my grandfathers are veterans.

3:17

3:29

Banners are 100 dollars each, and you can apply through this QR code or through the Vandalia Butler Chamber of Commerce website.

4:49

So we're thankful for her uh help us get the word out on the program.

4:53

So I don't want to repeat too much of what was already covered in the little snippet there, but um, you know, we we decided to do this program, and we want to uh emphasize we're partnering with Butler Township and the Chamber of Commerce.

5:00

But um, you know, we we decided to do this program, and we want to uh emphasize we're partnering with Butler Township and the Chamber of Commerce.

Uh but the program uh is for veterans or family members.

5:15

Uh they can purchase a banner like the video said, and they'll be along Dixie Drive here in May, and they will remain up uh all summer and into the fall until after Veterans Day each year, and then they'll be taken down, put into storage for the winter months, and then put back up the following spring.

5:33

Um the eligibility is pretty straightforward.

5:36

It's just anyone who resides or has resided in Vandeyer or Butler Township, uh, attended or graduated from Vandai Butler High School, or are an immediate family member, which is defined in the in the handout of a current Vandeyer or Butler Township resident.

Uh service in any of the six branches of the of the military uh qualify as well as the reserve and National Guard.
