All right, good evening, and welcome to the special meeting of the town council today, June twenty-fourth, and we are here to set the fiscal year twenty twenty-five mill rate. So before I begin, counselors are accounted for. Counselor Smith will be joining us at the dais momentarily. All right, so we are all here. And so is there a motion? And then I will turn it over to Mr. Sousa. Sure. I move that the mill rate for the fiscal year twenty twenty-five beginning July one, twenty twenty-four, be set at thirty point three three two mills for real estate, personal property, and motor vehicles, which reflects the October twenty twenty-three property reevaluation with a two-year phase in and a total estimated net taxable grand list for fiscal year twenty twenty-five of three million nine hundred and twenty-eight thousand dollars. Thank you, Councillor Pelke. Mr. Sousa. Thank you, um Madam Mayor. Uh this is a uh action the town council does each year after the referendum has been um approved by the voters. And so the referendum as stated in the motion would be thirty point three two mills. Um just uh to add on to that just from a informational perspective, tax bills due to the timing of the second um revalue or second referendum, they'll be sent out about thirty days later than normal. So they will go out on um the week of uh or july twenty-sixth rather, with bills being due by August first or no later than Tuesday, September third, to avoid any interest charges.
