It

Since our founding in 2012, CFEA has been on a mission that is about more than music.

Speaker 6

5:02

Through innovative programs, we transform our community through arts education for all and professional performances that inspire.

5:09

That mission is visible not only in our full productions, but in the role we play in shaping the cultural life of this city.

5:16

Earlier this month, during Tapestry Weekend of the Arts, CFEA had the privilege of contributing in multiple ways.

5:23

I spoke at the opening event at the Center for Health and Wellbeing regarding the role arts can play in youth mental health.

5:29

Our team fully produced the Friday night concert with Broadway star Jasmine Forsberg.

5:33

And on Saturday, CFEA both performed at Art in the Park and managed the stage for fellow arts organizations throughout the day.

It

was a meaningful example of collaboration and of the success that is possible when we all work together.

5:46

Throughout the holiday season, you may have enjoyed performances from our Carolyn group, Bells and Beau as they sang and strolled Park Avenue through our partnership with the Park Avenue District.

5:55

And tomorrow evening, you can find our incredible musicians at Plated, one of the district's signature events where the community gathers around one table to connect.

6:05

These partnerships are important because they contribute to the vibrancy of our downtown and reinforce Winter Park's identity as a city that values culture, creativity, and community.

Summary of Proceedings

Winter Park City Commission Regular Meeting - February 25, 2026

The Winter Park City Commission held a regular meeting on February 25, 2026, at 3:30 PM in City Hall Commission Chambers. In 2025, CFVA awarded 22 semester-long voice lesson scholarships, provided 72 free community classes, delivered nearly 1,600 free voice lessons through Arts One-to-One, and served over 53,000 students and audience members. Over 80% of students reported increased confidence, and 100% felt connected to peers. CFVA's revenues have grown 800% since 2020 and are projected to reach $1 million by 2027. The organization seeks a permanent facility.

  • Approved piggyback contract with Pro Chem, Inc. for chemical products (not to exceed $150,000, through March 30, 2031).
  • Approved contracts: RFQ27-21 with Kimley-Horn & Associates for continuing urban design services (through January 20, 2027) and IFB11-23 with Lewis Outdoor for landscape maintenance (additional funding and one-year extension, not to exceed $430,000, through April 16, 2027).

  • Denise DeLuca-Grasso (1132 Park Green Place), representing the Park Green neighborhood, expressed concern about proposed street parking on Bennett Drive without prior notification to residents. She cited safety issues from construction traffic and requested a four-way stop at Bennett and Glendon Parkway, as well as improved communication. Matter referred to staff.
  • Daniel Assael (1444 Park Green Place) echoed DeLuca-Grasso's comments, emphasizing the need for notification, proper landscaping restoration, a four-way stop, and lighting on the west side of Bennett Drive. Matter referred to staff.
